The traditional cutting techniques include saw blade, manual cutting, plasma arc cutting, grinding wheel cutting, disc cutting, step punching and side cutting. Laser cutting, as a new technology in recent years, is to irradiate the laser beam with high energy density on the workpiece to be processed, so that the local part is heated and melted, and then the slag is blown away by high pressure gas to form a cutting seam.

Precision pipe processing, such as kitchen chair stool, bathroom metal frame, heating frame, shopping mall display frame, handicraft pipe manufacturing, etc., is generally matched with precision opening, bevel, carving, hollowing, intersecting line cutting, etc. Most of them are within 0.5mm-4mm in thickness. The main pipes and branch pipes of some sports and fitness industries, large outdoor square lamps and round lamps in the lighting industry are 3-12mm in thickness. According to the demand of output and efficiency, a 1000-12000w fiber laser can be selected. The speed of cutting thin carbon steel can reach 17-60m per minute, which is similar to the actual processing speed of high-power and high-power CO2 laser cutting system. However, the cost of laser system is greatly reduced. In terms of bed accuracy, considering the accuracy requirements of most sheet metal parts, the positioning accuracy is generally designed around 20um-100um, which greatly reduces the cost of bed. Of course, users can also choose a series of products with high power rate and high positioning accuracy according to the material and material thickness of the workpiece and the requirements of accuracy.

Fiber laser technology is a high-speed development of laser technology in recent years. Compared with traditional laser technology, it has better cutting quality, lower system cost, longer service life, lower maintenance cost and lower power consumption.
